​Protect your workers from heat stress.

As everyone knows, Singapore has a hot weather throughout the year and is getting warmer recently. Some of the companies has workers working under the sun for long hours each day and they are exposure to the risk of getting heat stroke or heat stress. Appropriate heat injury preventive measures should be implemented to protect your workers from developing heat injury.
 What should you do if your colleague gets a heat stroke?
  • Move him to a shaded area.
  • Fan him and apply cool water to his skin
  • Remove tight or heavy clothing on him
  • Let him drink cool water
  • Call ambulance if the situation is critical
Tips on heat prevention:
  1. Keep yourself hydrated and drink lots of water
  2. Wear loose- fitting and light-colored clothes and put on hat when working in the hot environment
  3. Provide shaded area for the workers to work and rest. For eg, temporary shelter.
  4. Workers should see a doctor or report to their supervisor if they are unwell.
